Obituary of Carolyn Prioleau Elleby

Carolyn Elleby Prioleau was born October 2, 1964 in Sumter, SC to the late Abraham and Carrie Mae Singleton Prioleau, II.

Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, SC and was a member of the graduating Class of 1982 of Sumter High School. She continued her educational pursuit at Winthrop University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree and Keller Graduate School of Management earning a Master of Project Management.

Carolyn was employed with Wells Fargo Bank as a Vice President of Risk Management Operations, where she worked for over twenty nine years.

Carolyn accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Sumter and upon relocating to Charlotte, NC united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board.

Carolyn’s love for family and people was evident by the genuine smile she exhibited whenever you saw her. She had a passion for cooking and Tim and Abram shared that passion with her as they enjoyed creating and cooking meals together as a family.

Carolyn enjoyed reading and was a member of several book clubs, she also enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Carrie Mae Singleton Prioleau, II.

Carolyn made her transition on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from labor to reward in Charlotte, NC.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Timothy Elleby, II and Abram Prioleau Elleby;  former husband, Tim Elleby, Sr.; two brothers, Abraham (Diana) Prioleau, III of Torrance, CA and Herman (Leila) Sanders Prioleau of Savannah, GA; sister, Marilyn Prioleau Campbell of Severn, MD; nieces and nephews, Marlo L. Prioleau, Brandon D. Wheeler, Hermanda S. Prioleau and Syndney L. Prioleau; great nieces and nephews, Cameron J. Wheeler, Lauren L. Prioleau, Carter B. Grizzle and Aiden J. Davall; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

 

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to GABCSN, LLC d/b/a The Chemo Cars 16731 100 Norman Place Cornelius, NC 28031
