Obituary of Johnny Williams

Mr. Johnny Lee Williams, husband of Cynthia M. Williams, was born on April 24, 1964 to the late Archie Williams, Sr. and the late Mary Lee Stuckey Williams in Sumter, South Carolina.

Johnny attended the public school system of Sumter County and was a graduate of Sumter High School Class of 1982.

“Pappy” as he was affectionately called, was a jack of all trades. Roofing was his passion and he served in that field for over 28 years. He was previously employed with Roofco Inc. and State Roofing both of which are located in Sumter, South Carolina.

“Pappy” loved pranking his children, nieces and nephews and earned the title of the “Coolest Dad/Uncle Ever”. He also enjoyed riding his bike and playing videos but his true love was watching and supporting his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by a sister; Hula Stuckey Wheeler, three brothers; James Stuckey, Archie Stuckey, Jr. and Jackie “FeeFee” Williams, a niece; Bernedette Stuckey, grandmother; Elsie M. Coleman and mother-in-law; Mary M. Green.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife; Cynthia M. Williams of Sumter, SC, two daughters; Skiesha McBride and Cedetricia “Dee Dee” McBride both of Sumter, SC, a sister; Sarah Williams of the home, four grandchildren he loved dearly; Anijah, Iyanah, Jy’Meir and Klajah, all of Sumter, SC, special nephews; Tyrone Stuckey and Justin Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
