Obituary of Windoln Geneise Hastie

Ms. Windoln Geneise "Windell" Hastie was born May 29, 1956 in Sumter, SC to the late Eugene and Theola Amos Hastie, Sr. 
Windoln join the body of Christ at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in her teenage years and later in her early adult years she became a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as the Drama Ministry Director, a Sunday School teacher as well as a member of the Choir and in any other compacity that the Lord put in her heart to serve up until her health declined.  
Windoln was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and after high school, Windoln attended Morris College where she graduated with honors having obtained a Bachlor of Science Degree in Mathematics. She later continued her education and attended Francis Marion University in Florence SC where she earned a Masters and Doctorate degree in Education. 
Windoln was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Hastie Sr. & Theola Amos Hastie and three sisters Joan Johnson, Sudie Jane Bracey and Inez Hastie.
Windoln departed this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in Sumter, SC.
Windoln leaves to cherish her memory her sibilings, Ronetta H. Bracey, Willie Mae Clea, Janette Sharper (Raymond), Eugene Hastie Jr. (Retta), Lucille T. Gibson (Robert), Robert L. Hastie (Jo Carole), Georgia M. Rose, Kennedy Hastie (Lillian)
and Barbara A. Pearson (Travis); two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Travis Pearson 2260 Libson Drive Sumter, SC between the hours of 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily.
