Obituary of Janie Jackson Sinkler-Sims

Ms. Janie Jackson Sinkler-Sims was born to the late Mrs. Janie Whittleton Jackson and the late Mr. Joe Jackson in Wedgefield, South Carolina on January 26, 1950.

Janie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Or-angehill A.M.E. Church in Wedgefield, SC. “Tiney” as she wasaffectionately called, graduated from Ebenezer High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, she married William W. Sinkler. To this union two beautiful daughters were born, LaTossha and LaKaisha.

‘Tiney” never left a stranger without a good laugh. Her jokes,laughter and smile left lasting memoires with so many people. Her love of fishing, dancing and telling jokes were at the top of her most enjoyable moments.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Joe Louis Whittleton and Paul Whittleton and four sisters; Lizzie Whittleton Williamson, Rosa Lee Jackson-Tillie, Martha Whit- tleton and Lillian Whittleton-Ballard.

She made her transition from this earthly life to her heavenly home on October 1, 2018.

Janie leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters; LaTossha (Steve) Sinkler-Clea of Sumter, SC and LaKaisha (Donald) Sin- kler-Byrne of San Jose, Costa Rico, her loving and devoted brothers; Silas (Shirley) Whittleton, of Brooklyn, NY, John H. (Kerline) Jackson and William (Daisy) Whittleton of Sumter, SC, six sisters; Ruth Ellen Davis and Pauline Harden of Colum- bia, SC, Mary Williams of Aberdeen, NC, Louise Archie and Vir- ginia Nathanial both of Sumter, SC, five grandchildren; Mar- quise Sinkler, Essence Clea, Mahogany Clea, Niko Byrne and Laxmi Byrne, three beautiful great grandchildren; Prince Kaleb Sinkler, Princess Olivia Weston-Sinkler and Princess Treasure Major and a host of other relatives and friends.
