James ""Raw Dogg"" Taylor
Mr. James Taylor, affectionally known as “Raw Dogg” was born March 15, 1966 to Lee Ernest Taylor Sr. and Ida Dwyer Taylor in Soesterberg, Netherlands.
James received his formal education through the public schools in Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School, Sumter,SC in 1984. After graduation, James went into the United States Marine Corps where he served two and a half years as a Heavy Vehicle Operator. He graduated from Parris Island at the top of his class and received the Leatherneck and honor man Award.
James had a passion for fixing cars and would always lend a helping hand to those in the neighborhood. He definitely was the life of a party and he knew how to keep it going. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by his family.
James was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Anthony Taylor, Sr.; grandmother, Lillie Walker Taylor and grandfather, Theolander Taylor.
James departed this life on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Duluth, Georgia.
James leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons Shawndell Brewer and Darntelle A. Taylor, a daughter, Breanna Taylor; mother, Ida Dwyer Taylor, father Lee Ernest Taylor, Sr; four grandchildren, Jashawn Brewer, Zacharias Brewer, Shawndell Brewer Jr and Kenyon Wright; two sisters, Sonja Lucas and Erica Taylor; a brother, Lee Taylor Jr; a grandmother, Dora English; a special companion, Cherese Cooper; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and close friends.
The family is receiving friends at 202 Cuttino Road Sumter, SC
